Who I am
I am a Development Analyst and finance professional with a deep interest in Africa’s industrialisation, manufacturing competitiveness, and intra-African trade. My work is shaped by nearly a decade of experience in senior finance roles within the manufacturing sector, where I worked closely with operational teams and senior leadership. In this capacity, I saw firsthand how challenges such as unreliable energy supply, dependence on imported inputs, volatile exchange rates, logistics delays, and border inefficiencies directly affect cash flows, investment decisions, and the ability of African manufacturers to scale.
These experiences compelled me to pursue and complete a Master’s degree in Development Finance at Stellenbosch Business School. My research focused on the logistics of intra-African trade, specifically examining how time and cost at borders shape trade flows across the continent and influence Africa’s industrial and export potential.
Today, my work sits at the intersection of real-economy manufacturing experience, financial analysis, and development policy. Through my writing and consulting, I aim to contribute a credible African voice to discussions on manufacturing, industrial policy, and trade integration.
